I guess today really started around 1am. I was making sure everything was loaded on my phone and getting rid of all the pictures on my phone when I realized I hadn't checked to see if my car would start. It has been sitting for months and I couldn't remember the last time I started it. So I grabbed my keys and ran downstairs, about halfway down I tripped and went flying landing on concrete on my hands and knees. I got up hobbled to my car and it wouldn't start. Great. My left hand was already bruising and at first I worried that I might have broke it but with ice and finished the work I needed and around 2am I went to bed. I was was so beyond tired.
I got up around 4am and tried to start my car again.. nothing.. dead. Finally with a Jumpstart that took forever it started! Now to try and drive it to where it would be stored, well, it absolutely would not go into gear. I felt so defeated! Nothing was working out.

Hike to the bus stop
Catch a bus
Go to metro station and take the metro train to union station
switch trains and get on the metro link
Get to oceanside, swith trains, take train to san diego.

Trail angel house of Scout and frodo:
I was picked up at the train station by Scout, he had just picked up Glen who is from New Zealand at the airport. Upon arriving at their house we are given the tour and told the rules of the house. There are signs on everything so you don't have to ask questions, a computer and wifi, a snack station, a mailing station in the garage, very organized! We are told dinner is at 6 and bedtime is basically 9pm (hiker midnight) but most were in bed before that... I stayed up to watch Andrea get her head shaved, which I will admit I was a little jealous and seriously contemplated it but I was too tires!
Our sleeping quarters were in the back yard, so I headed out to my cot, I was so exhausted sleep should be easy!
Hikers who were headed to the trail the next morning:
Joe, Peter, Kyle, Ranger, Andrea, Bubba Gump and Glen
Sigred, Rae and Liam all from the UK would head out the next day.
